Moving to the passive features, LEVOIT Vital 100 is ETL listed, CARB, and FCC Certified. It passes the CA PROP 65 ozone limits and can be sold in California. If you have any issues with the products, California-based customer service can get you sorted. A convenience that not many brands could provide at this point in time. Comes in either black or white, the fitting quality is the same regardless of which version you go for. LEVOIT Vital 100 will definitely last longer than the 1+1 warranty provided by the manufacturer.
Coverage - Live and breathe fresh air with LEVOIT Vital 100 True HEPA air purifier. The multi-stage filtration can cover up to 500 square footage of large room size with 2 air changes per hour or every 30 minutes. For an asthmatic or hypersensitive person, you can increase the air changes to every 18 minutes, which will reduce the coverage to 300 square footage. Ideal for bedroom, workspace, kitchen, basement, garage, playroom, and small living room. CADR is averaging 130 cubic feet per minute. Not the greatest, but it will be sufficient for indoor air cleaning.
3-stage HEPA filtration with 500 sq. ft. and 130+ CADR.
Filtration - Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. LEVOIT Vital 100 uses a 3-stage filtration that stands against the test of time. The washable pre-filter trap large particles like dust, hair, lint, debris from passing through and clogging the HEPA filter. The H13 true HEPA filter captures 99.97% of microscopic particles as small as 0.3 microns e.g. mold spore, mildew, pollen, pet dander, germ, and bacteria. The highly efficient granular activated carbon filter neutralizes smoke and odors derived from cooking, pets, cigarettes, ammonia, radon, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Your home will be safe from pollutants after a few hours of runtime.
Noise and power - Sleep like a baby with LEVOIT Vital 100 air purifier. Noise output is at a whispering 23 decibels at the lowest speed. At max speed, it will output a subtle white noise territory of 50 decibels. Perfect for working or chilling in the living room. Power-wise, the Energy Star certified LEVOIT Vital 100 True HEPA air purifier consumes an average of 55 wattages per hour. Running it 24 hours a day will only cost you as little as $1.60 per month or $0.18 per kWh.
Pricing - Levoit Vital 100 manage to sell more than 10,000 units on Amazon because of the value it brings to the table. For just slightly above 100 dollars, you're getting reliable HEPA carbon filtration, wide air cleaning coverage, and top-notch build quality from a reputable manufacturer. The inexpensive filter replacement cost is another highlight of Levoit Vital 100. You only need to allocate around $60 annually for the filter change. Lower than P350 by $10, indoor air quality will significantly impact the filter lifespan.
Is no surprise that Levoit is the most popular air purifier brand in the North American market, and Levoit Vital 100 air purifier exemplifies that. An affordable, value air purifier with mid-range performance and specification. It is identical to the excellent Levoit Core 300, except for the minor increase in air cleaning performance. If you don't mind the lack of autonomous mode, slightly bigger body, and slightly above 100 price tag, Levoit Vital 100 would be a good buy, as most Levoit air purifiers do.

(annual filter cost ±54.99)
Pros
- Covers up to 219 square feet of space yet costs no more than $100. Ideal for small room sizes.
- Compact cylinder shape body with 360° HEPA filtration that can be placed at tabletop or work desk.
- Respectable CADR 140 cfm for Dust, 145 cfm for pollen, and 141 cfm for smoke. No other affordable air purifiers came even close.
- Genuine True HEPA filter effectively removes fine particles (upgradeable).
- Activated carbon filter removes smoke and odors from pets, cigarettes, cooking, and chemicals.
- QuietKEAP whisper-quiet technology. Perfect for night use with Sleep mode activated.
- 4 customizable timer modes (2, 4, 6, 8 hours).
Cons
- Limited airflow performance with its small form factor.
- The filter replacement cost can add up if you go with the optional upgrade.
- The lack of sensor, AQI, and auto mode (available in 300S) is understandable given its price point; child lock is something we would appreciate.
- Pre-filter is not removable and washable, making it hard to remove the clogged dust particles.
Design - Levoit Core 300 is a CGD 2019 award-winning, California designed True HEPA air purifier that can provide fresh air in a small room. Significantly improved over its predecessor model. Portability is one of its core strengths at a thin 8.7 diameter and 14.2 in height. You can place it on the work desk, at the bedside, cabinet, or anywhere you please. The 8.8 pounds weight is not the lightest in its class; you can still effortlessly carry it around when needed or bring it out during a staycation. The cylinder-shaped body looks clean yet functional with a 360 surrounding air inlet and top air inlet. Comes in multiple color options; white is the popular option, closely followed by the black version. Overall, the build quality is superb, with no signs of off-gassing or poor workmanship.

Functionality - Moving to the top black panel touch controls, there are up to 6 selectable buttons that ease the entire operation. You can manage the airflow output between the 3 fan speeds or activate/ deactivate sleep mode. Next, cycle between 2, 4, 6, and 8 hours timer option that can be set to turn off the machine when the time is up. The child lock button locks the setting to prevent children from meddling with it. There is even a light off button that switch off all indicator lights. Uncommon feature in a budget device. Finally, the Filter check button reset the countdown timer after you have replaced the filter.
Other passive specifications of LEVOIT Core 300 3-in-1 include an ozone-free setup that complies with the California air resources board (CARB), Energy Star, CA PROP 65, FCC certified, and ETL listed. An extended 5 years warranty is also on board that covers electrical and other non-filter defects. With Levoit's strong reputation and California-based customer service support, the air cleaner will have no issues lasting for years to come.
Coverage - Despite its compact size, airflow performance is never an issue with LEVOIT Core 300. The Vortexair Technology help creates a consistent and strong airflow delivery rate in all directions. The 3-in-1 purifying radius will cover 219 square footage at 5 air changes per hour in under 12 minutes. Works great in the bedroom, basement, office, small living room, and kitchen. Drop the coverage to half for an asthmatic or hypersensitive person who needs clean air.

LEVOIT Core 300 participates in AHAM's official clean air delivery rate test and scores reasonably well. CADR for dust is at 140 cfm, pollen is at 145 cfm, and smoke is at 141 cfm. Below our 200 cfm benchmark, but at least the airflow delivery rate is consistent on all types of allergens. Anticipate optimized air cleaning performance when the air purifier runs at full capacity.
3-stage HEPA filtration with 219 sq. ft. and 140+ CADR.
Filtration - Despite its low selling price, Levoit Core 300 does not cheap out on the filters. It has a complete 3-stage filtration that includes a standalone pre-filter, a True HEPA filter, and an activated carbon filter. The ultra-fine pre-filter traps large particles like dust, hair, lint, and debris. The pre-filter will also help protect and extend the life of the HEPA filter. The japan-imported true HEPA filter captures microscopic particles as small as 0.3 microns, e.g. dust mites, mold spore, mildew, pollen, pet dander, fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Finally, the granular activated carbon filter neutralizes household smoke and odors. For greater filtration against a specific type of contaminant, there is the upgradable Pet Allergy, Toxin Absorber, and MB Filter. Pet Allergy is effective against pet odors, diapers, and cooking smells. Toxin Absorber Filter specializes in chemical fumes from cigarettes, vehicle exhaust (CO), ammonia, radon, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). MB Filter focuses on neutralizing germs and impedes microorganism growth.
Noise and power - Like most small air purifiers, Levoit Core 300 True HEPA will operate silently in the background thanks to its QuietKEAP Technology. At the lowest speed, the noise level is only at a whispering 24 dB. You will not hear a single noise even when placed close to you. At high speed, the noise output is still at a reasonable 50 dB. For a good night sleep without any disturbance, set it to sleep mode (low speed + indicator light off) and enjoy breathing clean air free from allergens.
Levoit Core 300 True HEPA air purifier is powered by an AC 120V/ 50Hz with average 45 watts power output. Being an Energy Star Rated mode, the running cost is around $0.1 per day with 12 hours of operation. Multiply by 30 days, and the monthly running cost is around $3.2 a month, or 38 dollars a year. Suitable for all-day purifying without adding much cost to your electricity bill.
Pricing - Another forte of the Levoit Core 300 is the low selling price. At around 100 to 150 dollars after the online discount, you are getting a genuine True HEPA air cleaner with an activated carbon filter. Most similar price range models offered a weaker filtration set with poorer airflow performance. As for filter replacement costs, Levoit Core 300 will set you back between $20 to $40 for the default filter set. Add another $10 to $20 if you opt for the Pet Allergy Filter, Toxin Absorber Filter, or MB Filter upgrade.

There are bound to be some drawbacks to a cheap and compact HEPA air purifier. No exception with Levoit Core 300 air purifier. Airflow performance is restricted, given its form factor. Features are also limited to accommodate the low price. Lastly, the pre-filter is non-washable, which will add up to the filter replacement costs. All of the complaints above are a general theme in affordable air purifiers.
Overall, the number of pros clearly outweigh the cons. Levoit Core 300 is one of the best cheap air purifiers currently on sale. It is the ideal companion to help you breathe better, cough less, and sleep soundly at night. As long as you are okay with Auto mode and air quality indicator, Levoit Core 300 fits all the bills.
Pros
- Affordable and compact pet air purifier.
- Compact cylinder shape body with pet-proof controls that prevent tampering.
- Effective fine non-woven fabric pre-filter traps floating hair, pet fur, pet dander, dust, fibers, and lint.
- H13 HEPA filter removes finer particles like dust mites, lead dust, mold, and pollen.
- Activated carbon filter with AirReComposition formula chemically decomposes pet odors and smoke in the air.
- Suitable for night use with its quiet and efficient operation.
Cons
- Mid-range output that serves medium room size.
- No autonomous mode.
- The pet-oriented filter set can cost up to 70 dollars annually.
Design - A mirror to the Core 300 model, Levoit Core P350 True HEPA air purifier is the latest offering from the brand with pet focus filtration. At a compact 8.7 x 14.2 x 8.7 inches dimension, this cylinder shape air cleaner looks sleek, especially with its light grey color option. The light 7.5 pounds weight makes it very portable for home or travel. You can leave it on the work desk and bring it to the bedside during nighttime, so there's no need for more than one air purifier. Build quality is exceptional for its price point, with zero off-gassings detected. The perfect gift during the holiday season for pet families.
Functionality - Usability is another strong suit of Levoit Core P350. The 360 air inlet greatly enhanced its versatility for tight spaces. The top control panel is touch-sensitive with many supportive functions. You can adjust the 3 fan speeds, set the 4 preset timers, or activate sleep mode. Sleep mode will lock the fan speed to low and dim the indicator light to reduce night glare. The filter check button will reset the filter check indicator light and countdown time. Used after you have replaced the filter. Lastly, the pet proof lock function will lock the controls in case your pet or children accidentally mess up the setting.
Being a mechanical air purifier, the Levoit Core P350 pet air purifier passes the CA PROP 65 and can be sold in California. It is also ETL listed, Energy Star, and FCC certified. A standard manufacturer warranty is included with lifetime California-based customer service support. You can further extend the warranty by a year with online registration.
Coverage - With Levoit's own Vortexair Technology, LEVOIT Core P350 is recommended for a room size of 547 square footage with 2 air changes per hour or every 30 minutes. Increase to 4 air changes per hour or every 15 minutes at a reduced 273 square footage for a person with severe pet allergies. The 360 output delivers a consistent and robust airflow circulation throughout the room. Ideal for bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, basement, or anywhere your pets roam in the house. CADR is not too shabby either at around 140 cfm for dust, pollen, and smoke.
3-stage HEPA filtration with 219 sq. ft. and 140+ CADR.
Filtration - Here's where LEVOIT Core P350 differentiates from the rest of its lineup. The improved 3-stage mechanical filtration is targeted at those suffering from pet allergies. Starting with the new fine non-woven fabric pre-filter capable of trapping lead dust, floating hair, pet fur, pet dander, fibers, and lint. With most large particles trapped and prevented from clogging the HEPA filter, the H13 filter will capture 99.97% of microscopic particles in the air as small as 0.3 microns, including mold, pollen, and germ. The AirReComposition Formula activated carbon filter will chemically absorb, decompose, and lock in smoke and pet odors. It will effectively deodorize up to 60% of the unpleasant pet smell in the home from urine, feces, and germs.
Enjoy a super quiet and peaceful night's sleep with LEVOIT's QuietKEAP technology. The concealed fan helps reduce the fan noise level to 24 dB, similar to a whispering noise. Activate sleep mode, and you can place it right next to your bedside for better sleep quality and wake up feeling refreshed the next day. Certified by Energy Star, power usage averages 45 wattages with AC 120V/ 50Hz. The electric running cost is around $0.1 per day with 12 hours of operation or $3.2 monthly. The annual electric cost is about 38 dollars a year but keep in mind that the total cost will vary state by state.
Pricing - One of the more affordable pet air purifiers on the market. LEVOIT Core P350 will only cost you around 120 dollars before any seasonal discount. At this price, you're getting a japan imported H13 HEPA filter, an improved non-woven fabric pre-filter, and an ARC carbon filter. The only caveat is the high filter replacement cost which could go above 70 dollars in a bad air environment. It will not work properly if you don't replace the filter every 6-8 months. We will give the autonomous mode omission a pass at this price point.
In short, get LEVOIT Core P350 if you have a pet at home. Otherwise, go with Core 300 or Vital 100 if you can stretch your budget.

(annual filter cost ±54-72)
Pros
- Entry-level price (+-50) with low filter replacement cost.
- Lightweight, compact, and silent. Perfect for bedroom use.
- H14 True HEPA filter removes fine particles as small as 0.3 microns.
- Dedicated activated carbon filter rather than a carbon pre-filter.
- Built-in essential oil slot for aromatherapy.
- 2 years warranty with attentive customer service.
Cons
- Not the most effective against VOCs, smoke, and odors.
- The airflow delivery rate is slightly under par.
- No autonomous mode, air quality indicator, or timer other than Sleep mode.
Design - Introducing our favorite cheap air purifier under 50 dollars: Levoit LV-H128. A compact air purifier that comes with an H13 HEPA filter and a dedicated carbon filter. Proudly designed in South California, the conventional-looking body is more oriented toward functionality than designs with concealed air inlets. The surrounding air ventilation and top air outlet are practical yet without looking too industrial. At a small 6.7 inches diameter, 10.4 inches height, and 3.3 lb weight, Levoit LV-H128 is highly suited for desk use or bedside table with a very restricted space. It is ideal for room-to-room purifying, where you can leave it outside during the day and bring it to bed at night.
Functionality - Levoit LV-H128 is super easy to use that requires no prior knowledge. You have a single front button that will cycle through sleep, low, and high speed. No complicated autonomous mode or optional filtration to tinker around here. One bonus feature exclusive to Levoit LV-H128 is the built-in aromatherapy stimulating fragrances with clean air. You can add essential oils like Lavender, Peppermint, Citrus, Honeydew Melon, Musk, Vanilla, Orris, Vetiver, or Rosemary. Simply remove the aroma cap, and add 2 to 3 drops of your favorite essential oils to the aroma pad for instant reinvigoration. Excellent for relaxation and a good night's sleep.
Build quality is excellent, with no signs of off-gassing or uneven fitting. Levoit LV-H128 also comes with safety assurance like 100% ozone-free setup, Ul/ ETL listed, FCC, CARB Certified G-20-206 certified, and of course, 2 years in-house warranty with U.S. based customer support. Everything you can expect from a modern air purifier is here.
Coverage - The airflow delivery rate is above average for its small segment category. Levoit LV-H128 air purifier can cover a room size of 161 square feet with standard air changes per hour. Most people should instantaneously feel the air quality differences by leaving the air cleaner running for 30 minutes straight at full speed. Levoit LV-H128 is best used as a desktop air purifier, but you can also use it in a nursery home, bedroom, studio, kitchen, or anywhere that needs air cleaning.
3-stage HEPA filtration with 161 sq. ft. of air cleaning.
Filtration - Levoit LV-H128 comes with a familiar 3-stage filtration that guarantees clean air at every cycle. Starting with the outer polyester pre-filter that traps large particles visible to the naked eyes like dust, lint, fibers, and hair. The medical-grade H13 True HEPA filter capture 99.97% of fine particles like dust mites, mold spores, pollen, pet dander, bacteria, and viruses as small as 0.3 micrometers. For smoke particles, the activated carbon filter absorbs household smoke and odor, including pet litter boxes and cooking. However, it is less effective against toxic fumes like VOCs, CO, or CO2. The filter quality is great for its price and works exactly as advertised. Just remember to replace it every 6 to 8 months, depending on the filter usage life.
Noise and power - With a whisper-quiet noise level between 24 dB to 36 dB, the Levoit LV-H128 HEPA air purifier is perfectly suited for night use without sacrificing airflow speed. You will hardly hear any noise when there is some background noise like TV or air-con masking away the sound. Power consumption is very low at around 6 watts for everyday use. Running at high speed will increase energy usage, but most people will barely notice the difference.
Pricing - There are so many things to like about Levoit LV-H128 Air Purifier. It is affordable, durable, and surprisingly powerful for such a small air purifier. For less than $50, inclusive of the bundled filters, there are not many models that could deliver the same value. Filter-wise, the 3-in-1 Pre replacement filter can be costly to replace, depending on your air quality surrounding. At around $30-40, it should last about 6 to 12 months before an imminent change. If your indoor air quality is constantly at an unhealthy level, you will need a much bigger air purifier than Levoit LV-H128.
For just shy of $50, nothing beats the Levoit LV-H128 offering. A good starter air purifier for those with limited room space.
Pros
- Under 100 price tag before any discount.
- Low filter replacement cost (+-40).
- 3-stage filtration that works without being compromised by the size.
- True HEPA filter performs well against microscopic particles.
- Considerably small cylinder shape body.
- Built-in dimmable night light.
Cons
- Thin Activated Carbon filter that is far from amazing against odor.
- Minimal purifying coverage under 120 square footage.
- Occasionally rattling fan noise. It will disappear after running for a few minutes.
Design - The only air cleaner with nightlight wonder. Like most "cheap" air purifiers in the group, Levoit LV-H132 shares the same element of compactness and lightweight. The modern cylinder shape design is perfect for bedside table use at only 9.7 x 14.6 x 9.8 in size and 6.6 lb weight. Highly suited for a work desk, bedside table, or tv cabinet use. The fitting and quality are admirable, with extra attention to detail. The bottom diamond texture mimics the air vent design. Speaking of air vents, you have air flowing from the bottom, purified, and released out at the top. 4 anti-skid pads keep the air purifier firmly on the ground. What's lacking is a handle slot to hold on; not a big deal given how portable the air purifier is.

Functionality - On to the usability, there is a power, night light, filter reset, and fan speed button at the top. Pressing the power button once will turn on the air purifier, again to turn it off. Night light gives children a sense of security during sleep and helps them navigate through the dark. The function will cycle on, dimmed light, and off on normal press. Pressing and holding the button will disable all lights on the air purifier. Press any button again to enable the button lights back on. For the filter reset button, press and hold the button for 3 seconds to reset the filter countdown. Lastly, The Fan Speed Button will cycle between the 3 speeds. Overall, the controls are straightforward to use, even though the buttons are on the smaller side.
Coverage - Let's be honest, Levoit LV-H132 86 sq. ft. purifying coverage is only meant for close approximately filtering, and it is only suitable for bedroom use or tight spaces. Using it in the living room is still doable, but you must tune it to the max speed. Since there is no Auto mode, the best way to utilize the air purifier is to place it close to the intended target or pollution sources. CADR is not outstanding either, although still better than its segment competitors. Expect an average of 110 cfm clean air delivery rates for dust, pollen, and smoke. It should handle most irritants in close range but keep your expectations down.
3-stage HEPA filtration with 129 sq. ft. and 110 CADR.
Filtration - Nothing extraordinary about the Levoit LV-H132 air purifier 3-stage filtration setup. The top Fine Preliminary Filter would first trap medium to large particles. This makes it easy for the True HEPA filter to trap superfine airborne allergens, bacteria, and viruses. Activated Carbon Filter would handle household gases and odors but with restricted efficiency. The quality of the filter is decent, and the bundled filter kit can be easily replaced. Just flip over the air purifier and remove the filter kit from the bottom cover.
Noise and power - Levoit LV-H132 has a more subdue noise (≤ 43dB) that barely causes any commotion at low speed. There is occasion fan noise during startup, but it is neglectable. The noise level at third speed is reasonably low too. Keep in mind that the Levoit LV-H132 air purifier is usually placed close to you due to the small applicable area. There might be some white noise at earshot throughout the operation. On to power consumption, the 28-wattage is no doubt energy-efficient for a compact air purifier. It will not cost any extra burden, even if you operate it with or without a nightlight throughout the day.
Pricing - Levoit LV-H132 air purifier is cheap, although not the most affordable on this list (Levoit LV-H128 takes the cake). What stands out the most is the commendable 3-stage True HEPA filtration. The night light feature is perhaps the main selling point for this device. As for downsides, the trade-off is the weaker airflow delivery rate and small coverage limiting its usage. Nevertheless, the cheap filter kit would balance things up for more sustainable ownership. Consider LV-H132 if night light is your utmost priority.
Pros
- Outstanding value for its price and specification.
- Inexpensive and easy to replace 3-in-1 filter kit.
- Support medium to large room sizes with its comprehensive purifying coverage.
- True HEPA filter and Activated carbon filter work well with the fine preliminary filter.
- Auto mode and air quality indicators come standard.
- Programmable timer from 1 to 12 hours.
Cons
- 135 cfm CADR is not the highest in the segment.
- Touch-based button that is hard to press at times.
Design - Not your typical console air purifier, Levoit LV-PUR131 is designed to combine punchy air flow distribution with a reasonable price tag. The exceptionally modern body does not reveal any air inlet/ outlet upfront. It is relatively compact and lightweight for a console air purifier at 14.5 x 18.5 x 7.2 inches in dimension and 11.2 pounds. However, it is less versatile than Core 300 or P350, which can be placed on a table. The build quality is certainly there, with no signs of off-gassing, and it comes with 2 years warranty. At the top, you will find air ventilation, a digital display, house in a piano gloss control panel.

Functionality - Speaking of the touch control panel, there is a total of 6 buttons that are horizontally aligned and easy to access. The On/ Off button does what it does; the display button (with the eye logo) turns off the display when the air purifier operates. Press any button other than the Power button to turn the screen back on. Sleep Mode will set the fan speed straight to low for bedtime use. The auto mode sets the ideal speed depending on ambient air quality. A premium feature that is not found in Core 300/ P350. Pressing the Speed button will cycle between Low, Normal, and High speed. Finally, the highly customizable Timer will cycle between 1-12 hours. To cancel a timer, press and hold the button until the display flashes 3 times. Right at the center is a digital display indicator that will show you what mode you are in. As for the air quality indicator, you have Red = Bad air quality, Yellow = Moderate, Green = Good, and Blue = Very good air quality.
Coverage - Levoit LV-PUR131 has an impressive 322 sq. ft. purifying coverage for its price for medium to large room sizes. Far more effective than most Levoit air purifiers on this list, except for Vital 100. The stronger airflow delivery rate makes it ideal for living room, bedroom, basement, kitchen, or garage. The CADR or clean air delivery rate is 135 cfm for dust, pollen, and smoke. It is decent, but there are better options from Honeywell or Winix available at the same price point, and it will take much longer to do so.
3-stage HEPA filtration with 322 sq. ft. and 135 CADR.
Filtration - Levoit LV-PUR131 might have the same 3-stage filtration as Levoit LV-H132; it uses bigger filters that provide a superior filtration rate against microorganisms. The initial fine preliminary filter works best with the True HEPA filter. Combining the 2 would effectively neutralize dust, bacteria, germ, pet dander, mold, and other similar allergens; On gases such as pet odors, cigarette smoke, and VOCs, you have the Activated carbon filter standing by. There is no Ionizer, UV-light, or other addon filtration in the air purifier. It is 100% ozone-free purification.
Noise and power - Levoit LV-PUR131 <= 52 dB noise level is slightly lower than industry standard though you should expect some white humming noise at medium to high speed. Suitable for night/ bed use, especially with Auto mode enabled. The average 40 W Power usage rate is also lower than most, but the numbers vary based on how often you run the air purifier and at what fan speed. Again, autonomous purifying would be a great help in managing energy consumption.
Pricing - Cheap and cheerful performances don't go well together where you could either have one but not both. Levoit LV-PUR131 air purifier manages to cross a balance between them by offering an inexpensive price tag with solid airflow performance and features. The better news is the low annual filter price of around $40, which costs way less than most air purifiers thanks to the bundled 3-in-1 filter replacement kit. No problem getting the filter kit online or from the official website.
Overall, we have almost nil complaints about the Levoit LV-PUR131 air purifier. It is effective against airborne pollutants, price-friendly, yet comes bundled with Auto mode and air quality indicator. The sweet spot between highly affordable and high-performance air purifiers.

Why Is My Levoit Air Purifier Red?
If your Levoit air purifier has a red light indicator, it is time to replace the filter. Once you have replaced it with a brand-new filter, press and hold the filter reset button, and the red light will disappear. Simple as that. If it is a red ring light, that is the air quality indicator telling you that the air purifier has detected a lot of airborne pollutants indoors nearby. The AQI relies on the sensor to display the air quality: Blue (Very Good), Green (Good), Orange (Moderate), and Red (Bad). Either leave it in auto mode or switch to a higher fan speed until the AQI ring color changes to green or blue, indicating healthy air quality. If the air quality indicator is stuck in red for days, there is a possibility that the built-in sensor is clogged with dust. Turn off and unplug the air purifier, then use a cotton bud or cloth to clean the sensor thoroughly.
