Not exactly the most striking design, the white covered plastic is sturdily constructed with side air intake surrounding Alen A375 UV. Considerably compact compare with modern air purifier, Alen A375 UV UV multi-gas air purifier is much smaller (shorter to be exact) and slimmer than Alen BreatheSmart model. Even so, it is still packed with all the standard features you would find in any of the series. Weight is on the heavy side, nevertheless, you could still carry this unit around by grabbing on the back handle or even hang it by the wall with the available wall-mount slot. A blue color digital display with buttons is located at the front panel. You also have a filter life timer which detects the filter lifespan based on the filter used. Other than that, Alen A375 UV comes with Auto-off safety feature that disables the unit from functioning when the front cover is open, ETL (Edison Testing Laboratory) and UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc) listed<, Energy Star certified and lifetime warranty.
Applicable area, airflow, noise level and power input
With 2 charges of air distribution, Alen A375 UV offers a respectable 60m2 or 650 sq. ft. of air-purifying applicable area. Airflow delivery rate is good too, with the pairing of pre-filter, HEPA-Fresh filter and ionizer, the air purifier can deliver between 55 m³/h to 297 m³/h airflows. Thanks to its WhisperMax technology that curb the noise sound, the noise level is at a standard level between 38 dB to 64.3 dB. Finally, the power input level for Alen A375 UV is slightly high if compared with Alen A350; at 104 watts on the high-speed setting.
Final thoughts on Alen A375 UV
Alen A375 UV HEPA Air Purifier is a fantastic option for someone that is looking for an air cleaner to remove common allergens and household odors. Compared with its sibling the A350, Alen A375 UV comes with additional UV lamp which is good against gases, odors, and remote control. However, it has to trade-off with weaker air circulation and airflow applicable area that might be critical of some. Both models also come with standard Advanced SmartSensor technology and filtration. If you are stuck between the 2 choices, I would suggest you go with the cheaper option. At what cost

Alen A375 VS the challengers

Rabbit Air BioGS 2.0 SPA-625A
As the model name rightly pointed, this is the higher version of BioGS series that offers better airflow performance and coverage (625 VS 550 sq.ft.) with a minor price increase. Everything else is exactly the same.
Honeywell HPA300
Another popular alternative in the list, Honeywell HPA300 is cheaper with better CADR performance than Rabbit BioGS. In long-run though, the higher filter replacement cost and less filtration depth might come back to haunt you.
Rabbit Air MinusA2 SPA-700A
Space-friendly, swappable front panel, 6-stage filtration (medium + customized filter), wider purifying coverage and of course better overall CADR. Rabbit Air MinusA2 is no doubt the upgrade both aesthetically and functionality at a premium cost.
