The starters
The smallest Bluair Pro series available, Blueair Pro M is a modern style, compact premium air purifier targeted for office use. At 20 x 17 x 10 in size and 27 lb weight, it’s also the most portable unit in its class. While Blueair Pro M is small in size, build quality remains at top with other Pro series air purifier along with standard equipment like 3-stage HEPASilent filtration, filter replacement indicator, LED indicator, zero ozone emission, CARB certified, Energy Star and 5 years warranty. Wi-Fi support is omitted yet there is no timer or remote control; the biggest letdown for a premium air purifier.
With no extra functionality, Blueair Pro M is very easy to use with only PLUS MINUS button to fiddle with. To turn on the unit simply click on the PLUS button and the air purifier will start in speed one. To increase or decrease between the 3 default speed, click on the respective PLUS/ MINUS buttons and the middle blue light bar will reflect the current speed instantaneously. If your have the Air Intelligence Module pre-installed, you can activate Auto mode by clicking on the PLUS button on speed 3 and the word AUTO will light up indicating the mode is active. To deactivate, simply click on the MINUS button. With AIM, there is also an enhanced two bar columns indicator that show the levels of airsuspended particles (PM2.5) and gaseous contaminants (GAS). 1 green bar means air quality is good while 3 bars (green, yellow and red) represent high level of particles or gas). Finally, a red filter light indicator will light up when filter replacement is needed.

What’s inside count
Blueair Pro M is under the Blueair family group so naturally it uses the same HEPASilent technology that delivers 99.97% effective rate against particles as small as 0.1 microns. It also uses the same waterproof, polypropylene fibers filter media that prevent particles/ germs from escaping or growth thanks to the V-shaped antibacterial design. How it works is Blueair Pro M combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration would first charge up any in-flowing particles. Charged particles will then get trap either by the particle filter (germs, bacteria and allergens) or SmokeStop filter (gas, smoke and odor). With all airborne pollutants out of the way, Blueair Pro M will only then released purified air that has even less concentrated ozone level than our breathing air.Keep it down

Blueair Pro M VS the challengers

Winix HR1000
Similar airflow performance, CADR yet comes with more features and most importantly at half the cost.
