The starters
Rabbit Air MinusA2 SPA-780N is the enhanced version to SPA-780A with Wi-Fi enabled. On first look, you can barely see the differences between the two as it is the exact same air purifier that we loved. At 21.4 x 20 x 7 in and 19.4 lb in weight, it is rather heavy but rests assured, it is definitely wall-mountable. Upfront you have the same panel that is swappable for any design you like. E.g. Peanuts Designs featuring Snoopy, Gustav Klimpt, Katsushika Hokusai, or Paul Frank. The front panel is also compatible with any of the MinusA2 series air purifier. Staying at the front, there is a 4 color mood light bar that many people confuse it as AQ indicator. Air inlet is located at all sides with only 1 air outlet at the back. At the back, you will find a top handle slot and 2 bracket holders for wall mounting. On the whole, build quality is top-notch with no signs of off-gassing from the front cover.
The front black bar control panel is easily accessible especially if you plan to hang it on a wall. Let’s go through the controls 1 by 1. Power button does what a power button does. Speed button will cycle between the Silent, Low, Medium, High, and Turbo. Short press on the Mode button will cycle between Auto mode or Pollen mode. Press and hold the Mode button will reset the filter replacement indicator.
The Replace Filters Indicator will only illuminate when it is time to change the filters. Mood Light button will either turn on or off the light bar. When the air purifier is in Auto or manual speed mode, the Mood Light bar would be in solid blue color. When is in Pollen mode, the Mood Light bar will cycles from blue – purple – light purple – pink. Ion button will activate/ deactivate the Negative Ion Generator.

With all the main buttons covered, let’s talk about the sensors. The Light Sensor will activate Sleep mode when the room is in complete darkness and more than 3 minutes. In Sleep mode, fan speed is set to silent and all indicator lights are off. Moving to AQ indicator, you will find Odor and Particle Sensor working side by side together. The light will shift from blue (good), purple (medium), and red (poor) based on surrounding air quality.
Like every other Rabbit MinusA2, you can control the sensitivity level. To adjust the AQ sensitivity level, press and hold the Speed + Mode button for three seconds. On success, the Air Quality indicator and Auto Mode indicator light will blink. Continue by pressing the Speed button to choose the sensitivity level. Replace Filters – Low Sensitivity, Pollen Mode – Standard, Auto Mode – High sensitivity. Press and hold the Speed + Mode button again for 3 seconds to save the setting.
A unique feature that is only available in the N version is the WiFi enabled option. To start using the feature, download Rabbit Air App from Apple Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Follow each steps 1-by-1. Upon successful connection, the Wireless Indicator switch from flashing to fix illuminated. Overall, buttons on the air purifier are small but you will unlikely to use it when you hang it on the wall. Remote control and your smartphone will play a bigger role here.
It’s a long list of features so let’s recap everything again. 6-stage filtration, 5 speed plus Auto/ Pollen/ Sleep mode, remote control. Built-in wall bracket, Particle/ Odor/ Light sensor, multi-spectrum mood light, filter life indicator. Child Proof Safety Design that automatically stops operation when the panel is loosed. Energy Star certified and 5 years warranty.

What’s inside count
Unlike the complicated control panel, Rabbit Air MinusA2 SPA-780N filtration system is downright straightforward and it works. First, the foremost air will flow through the rear [aprefilter] grill that filter out initial dust and hair. Next, gases and odors including chemical, benzene, toluene and the notorious VOCs would then be a trap by the [acarbonfilter]. For tiny, non-gases particles, you have the highly efficient 99.991% rate [ahepafilter] that capture mold, pollen, pet dander, bacteria and allergens with ease. Lastly, Airgle next-generation patented [auvlight] (titanium dioxide catalyst + germicidal UV lamp) would remove neutralizes any leftover odors, VOCs, bacteria, and viruses down to 0.01 microns before releasing the purified air back out.Keep it down

Rabbit Air MinusA2 SPA-780N VS the challengers

Airgle AG800
The "cheaper" alternative that provides equivalent design and filtration capacities. The cheaper annual filter cost comes with a weaker filter set without Titanium Pro system.
