Commendable overall appearance and build quality although not U.S. made (sorry patriotic guys), Winix C535 has the familiarity and reliability from Winix air purifier lineup. The white exterior house all the filters that is easily changeable via the removable of front cover. At top you have all the standard controls for your fanspeed, timer and PlasmaWave activation. Bonus for Winix C535 air purifier is the inclusion of remote control which is not available in Winix 5300-2.

Airflow capability and purifying coverage

Winix C535 has the exact same spec as Winix 5300-2 so expect decent airflow delivery rate and purifying coverage. At 360 sq. ft., Winix C535 would cover most bedroom, kitchen, living room without resorting to maximum speed all the time. The 4 speed, 4-stage filtration comes with the complete set pre-filter, True HEPA, carbon sheet filter and PlasmaWave technology. With all that, Winix C535 can easily wipe out airborne contaminants quickly and effectively from dust, mold, pet dander, bacteria to mild odor from cooking, detergent and cigarette smoke.

Noise level and power consumption

Winix C535 noise level is relatively low that can be use in bedroom throughout the night. Very little noise at low fanspeed, soft noise at medium fan speed and audible noise at max 4 speed. Power consumption wise Winix C535 65 W will not have significant impact on your electricity bills, but when the air purifier is running 24×7, that is the time you may possibly feel the difference. Power usage is minimal at low fanspeed and comparatively average at fourth fanspeed. When put next to usual home appliances, Winix C535 all-round electricity usage is pretty good in comparison.

Final thoughts on Winix C535

To recap, Winix C535 is a Costco tied model mirror to Winix 5300-2 specification. You’ll get all the good stuff like comprehensive filtration with wide purifying coverage, consistent airflow delivery rate and abundant of features, unfortunately the bad stuff like poor odor filtration and hassle filter change is bundle in as well. Both models would do you well but if remote control is a must for you, Winix C535 would be the eventual winner.
